Amanda is a Research Engineer interested in computational tools for creative processes. She received her masters from the Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT in 2016. While there, she worked on simulation methods, GPU programming, and CAD tools for digital fabrication workflows. She also spent a lot of time working in the machine shop and setting up fablabs in Rwanda, Bhutan, Armenia, and the US. Before grad school, she worked at Instructables.com in Autodesk’s Pier 9 workshop. She received a BA in physics in 2011 from Pomona College.
