Fan Du

Research Scientist

Fan Du is a Research Scientist at Systems Technology Lab. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park in 2018, advised by Ben Shneiderman and Catherine Plaisant. His research interest lies at the intersection of data visualization, recommender systems, and machine learning. His dissertation research on explainable recommendation for event sequences received Adobe Marketing Research Award and Honorable Mention Award at ACM CHI conference.
