Bruce Liu is a Research Scientist at Adobe Research. He designs and builds new paradigms for generative filmmaking, including systems such as Doki, a document interface for authoring generative videos in one place. He received his Ph.D. from the UCLA HCI Lab advised by Professor Xiang “Anthony” Chen and his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University. His research explores new computational paradigms for human–AI interaction, including systems that expand how people create, communicate, and collaborate with generative AI. His work has been recognized with an Amazon Ph.D. Fellowship, an ACM UIST Best Paper Award, and two ACM CHI Best Paper Honorable Mentions. Learn more at https://liubruce.me.
