Elena Garces has been a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Paris since June 2024. Before that, she was a Juan de la Cierva Postdoctoral Fellow at the MSLab of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and a Director at SEDDI (Madrid, Spain), where she led a technology team with expertise in render, optical capture, and AI. Between 2016 and 2018, she was a Postdoctoral researcher at Technicolor R&D (France). She completed her PhD in 2016 in the Graphics and Imaging Lab of the University of Zaragoza (Spain).

Her research interests span the fields of computer graphics, computer vision, and applied machine learning. In particular, she currently works on the digitization (optics and physics) of fabric materials, machine learning-based simulations of garments, and 3D scene reconstruction.
