Kuldeep Kulkarni is a research scientist in the BigData Experience Labs, Adobe Research, Bengaluru. His current research interests span the broad area of computer vision. Previously, he worked as post-doctoral researcher in the ECE department at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. He received his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Arizona State University, Tempe, USA. His PhD thesis focussed on tackling computer vision problems from compressive cameras at extremely low measurement rates. He was selected for the CVPR 2017 doctoral consortium. He received the best paper award for his work on reconstruction-free face recognition from compressive imagers at the CCD workshop held in conjunction with CVPR 2015. He received his B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India in 2009.
