Graduate Research Scientist

London, UK

In broad strokes, Sam tries to repurpose generative AI models to make more deliberate, intentional image and video edits. His work at Adobe Research includes a lot of image decomposition and appearance editing, but he can get excited about almost anything.

Sam received his PhD from William & Mary in 2026, advised by Pieter Peers. His bachelor’s is from Colorado School of Mines, and he worked for a time at SketchUp in Boulder.
