Axel Paris

Research Scientist

Paris

Axel joined Adobe Research in 2023, after completing a PhD in Computer Graphics at LIRIS under the supervision of Pr Eric Galin and Dr Eric Guérin. During his PhD, he studied the simulation of natural phenomena, focusing on aspects such as volumetric terrain modeling as well as the simulation of meandering rivers and sand dunes.

His research focuses on environment modeling, physical simulations, and implicit surfaces. More specifically, his goal is to empower artists with new authoring tools for manipulating both 2D and 3D shapes efficiently, at the interface between procedural generation and physics-based simulation.

More details, including a full list of his publications, can be found on his personal website.
