Vishal Asnani

Research Scientist

San Jose

I’m a Research Scientist at Adobe in the cross-modal representation learning (XRL) team in the San Jose office, as part of the Vision and Language Lab (VLL). I’m working on Content Authenticity and Responsible AI research topics including watermarking and video durable content credentials. I did my PhD in the Computer science and engineering department at Michigan State University. My research interests lie in the field of Computer Vision, with particular interests in content authenticity, manipulation detection/localization, model parsing, generative modeling, and image generation. I also have some experience with object detection in the wild. All these approaches are based on a proactive scheme which involves adding a signal to the training images, followed by performing various downstream tasks. I’m working under the guidance of Dr. Xiaoming Liu at Computer Vision Lab (CVLAB).
