Yiran joined Adobe Research in May 2025. Before that, he obtained his Ph.D. degree at University of Maryland, College Park, working with Prof. Jia-Bin Huang. He obtained his M.S. degree from UC San Diego under the supervision of Nuno Vasconcelos, and his Bachelor’s degree from South China University of Technology.

His research lies in the generative models and their applications especially to videos, including editing and restoration.
