Yannick Hold-Geoffroy is a Québec-born senior research scientist and engineer specializing in the intersection of computer vision, computer graphics, and machine learning. He has authored over 30 publications in leading venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, and SIGGRAPH, with a primary focus on light estimation and modeling, material editing, and neural asset generation.
At Adobe, Yannick has contributed to several key features across the Substance suite, including the 3D compositing Match Image tool, as well as Adobe’s AI capabilities including Photoshop’s Neural Filters and Firefly. His research explores how neural networks interpret and reason about geometry and lighting—bridging the gap between human and machine visual perception and empowering artists and designers with intuitive, intelligent tools to bring their creative visions to life.
