Yannick Hold-Geoffroy has received his Ph.D. in 2018 from the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL) under the supervision of Jean-François Lalonde at Laval University, Quebec City, Canada. His work focuses on solving ambiguous computer vision problems using machine learning. Through his collaborations with Disney Research and Adobe, he developed an expertise on outdoor photometric stereo as well as single image illumination estimation and camera calibration; the latter two shipped as features in Adobe Dimension. Yannick also developed skills in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and GPGPU computing in his previous work at Calcul Québec. When he’s not thinking about computer vision, Yannick keeps himself busy with photography, hiking and playing a wide variety of music styles.
